Large suspended ashlar staircase
in the southwest of France (Gers)
Project genesis
This solid stone staircase (natural limestone) was designed beforehand in order to define the project and was made to measure as part of a renovation.
Here are some pictures of the installation of this large suspended staircase with swinging steps, quarter turn and small landing. The limestone has been aged and patinated by us, to match the building’s stones.
The stone paving that we made gives the final touch, the large room has acquired a lot of character, in the respect of the sober and authentic Gascon architecture where stone, earth and wood are mixed.
