Sculpture of a parchment scroll

Made of natural limestone, the sculpture is shaped like a scroll. It is a special commission, the engraved text is the motto of the place where the work is installed.
The stone (a marble limestone), was sculpted in the spirit of a parchment whose ends roll up. The text, the motto of the place, provided by the client, was transferred to the stone, then engraved by hand (V-engraving technique). The whole has been patinated with natural pigments.
