creation of an arched opening in cut stone

Arched opening in ashlar

in the Gers

Project details

The creation of this arched opening in ashlar required a design in keeping with the original openings of this old Gascon building. The pointed arch shape of the neighbouring openings was taken up, with proportions and appearance respected.

The choice to create this opening in the image of its older neighbours, the natural stone with its age and patina, the natural and durable materials (stone, terracotta, wood, lime), and the respect for the architecture all contribute to the enhancement of the building.
