The large ashlar fireplace fits into a vast room with a high ceiling. The very wide hearth, framed by fluted jambs, is topped by an intermediate cornice and a cornice with molded recesses. The overall look of the mantel is inspired by the Louis XIV style.
The natural stone of the mantel and the paving create a beautiful harmony of nuances and materials in this large, carefully renovated building.
